Dr. attended. Hossam Badrawi held an elegant party yesterday, Tuesday 5/17/2022, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the library. The ceremony included a speech by the Director of the Library, Dr. Mustafa Al-Feki, in which he praised its staff and their historical role in making the Library a true beacon of culture and knowledge with its former director, the scientist Dr. Ismail Serageldin.
Dr. Hossam Badrawi was the head of the parliamentary committee that issued the legislation establishing the library 20 years ago, 20 centuries after its burning and destruction, to return Alexandria with its library as a center of civilization.
Dr.. Hossam has been a member of the library’s board of trustees since 2007 and is now a member of the executive committee in charge of the board of trustees, which includes former presidents, international librarians and eminent international personalities, in charge of the library’s director, Dr. Mostafa El-Feki and Mr. Farouk El-Okda, former Governor of the Central Bank, and Mr. Amr Moussa, former Secretary General of the Arab League and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, considering the assignments of the Board of Trustees to support the library’s activities
The Bibliotheca Alexandrina concert was performed by Mr. Ramzy Bassi, the soprano Amira Selim, the soprano Farah Al Dibani, the Priest Maryam Abu Zahra, and the creative library choir led by Shadi Abdel Salam.
