I had read an article by Ms. Sana Al-Baisi, in which she says on the lips of Dr. Zaki Naguib Mahmoud, in her interview with him:

I had read Dr. Zaki Naguib Mahmoud’s books on philosophy and logic that influenced my thoughts, especially “The Life of Thought in the New World”, and he was the one who introduced me to the philosophy of Bertrand Russell, but what directed my political compass was his book “On Freedom I Speak” and then “The Foundations of Scientific Thinking” and “Renewal of Arab Thought”. What he wrote in “The Reasonable and the Unreasonable in Our Intellectual Heritage” and “The Harvest of Years” had an impact on the formation of my enlightenment sentiments.
My passion for reading is consistent with what Dr. says. Zaki Najeeb: “You read to add to your limited life ten times, or a hundred, or a thousand, depending on the amount you read and the way you read it. Why? Because during your limited life, you will collect experiences and ideas about the world, about people, and about your true self, but those experiences and ideas will also depend on their range.” by the number of years you were destined to live.”

He says in the book “Islamic Vision”
“One of the most important things that must change in our souls is that extremism in belief is an extremism that does not allow its owner to see what the right of those of other trends may be.”
He says in the book “Values from Heritage”
“Do we have the right, now that the focus of our religious concern has become strange, formal details that do not affect the spirit and essence of religion and do not move the religious conscience of man from near or far?
Perhaps I should mention that his saying to me about “the power of the selfless” was one of the most prominent forms of my political sentiment when I entered the elections for the first time in 1995, and then during my political career….
Perhaps it was my belief in this humane political philosophy that kept me away from ministerial positions
