Yesterday, Saturday, April 27, 2024, Al-Sinnari House, affiliated with the Cultural Sector, hosted the Library of Alexandria, as part of the inauguration activities of the Egypt Cultural Forum, a symposium entitled “The Cultural Component and its Impact on Egyptian Foreign Policies,” sponsored by the Al-Salam Foundation for Culture, Dialogue, and Arts. The symposium was attended as a keynote speaker by Dr. Hossam Badrawi, along with a group of The prominent Egyptian figures are represented by Dr. Ali El-Din Helal, professor of political science at Cairo University, Ambassador Mohamed El-Orabi, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Helmy El-Namnem El-Kati, journalist and former Minister of Culture, where Dr. Hossam Badrawy spoke as follows: – Dr. Badrawy praised the role of intelligence. Artificial intelligence and its impact on societies, adding that he has become dependent on it in preparing his lectures, pointing out that he gave a lecture at the United Nations on the role of artificial intelligence in eradicating poverty, which was his entry point from education and culture, and therefore he now considers him a friend who helps him in preparing his lectures, including his lecture on the topic The symposium, then he explained that if we do not keep pace with progress, we will not achieve anything, and the future of Egypt is part of the future of the world. Should we stagnate with them, advancing like them, or do we wait to be the recipient of the progress they have achieved?! Then he stated that artificial intelligence drew his attention to the fact that the issue of culture is historical, so the goal of culture is To communicate and influence peoples, he then referred to Egyptology, as it is the only science that derives its name from the name of Egypt and which is studied by the majority of students in the world, stressing that education is one of the most important aspects of cultures, as education and culture complement each other.
Then Dr. Badrawi pointed out that we find that in some Arab countries they call money “money,” as Egypt was at one time the dominant economic power. Then Dr. Badrawy moved to the influence of soft power in Egypt, represented by the artists and writers who influenced singing, acting, and culture and who formed soft power. It has had a tremendous impact and impact on the entire Arab world, as Dr. Badrawi emphasized that the influence of soft powers on peoples is more influential than the dominant and colonial hard powers. He also added that the composition of Egypt is very unique, as everyone who occupied it became part of its culture. Then he pointed out that artificial intelligence reported the existence of theories that support the cultural components. Such as the theory of social construction, where this theory confirms that international structures are formed primarily through ideas, identities, cultural values, beliefs, and cultural perceptions that directly affect how they interact with each other. Then the theory of cultural integration and understanding the cultures of others through customs and values, but he stressed that understanding the cultures of others will not It happens in a country that does not allow the differences of cultures within it…, then the theory of international identity, which means the influence of others by the national identity that was formed through the lens of culture, then the theory of cultural exchange and the theory of dialogue of civilizations, then Dr. Badrawi explained the big difference in terms of the speed of access to information, which It greatly facilitated the cultural influence between peoples, whether positive or negative, and this allowed some to introduce fabricated cultures that humanity did not reach in a natural sequence, but rather were artificial cultures, such as spreading negative energy among peoples and alien cultures that corrupt minds…etc.
Then Dr. Badrawi stressed that the battle of Egypt in the future is the battle of education and culture, and that its army is the children and youth. Then he ended his speech by distinguishing between English colonialism, American colonialism, and the French colonizers, since what separates the French colonizers from them is that the French colonizers use culture, spreading their language and spreading their culture. Despite He colonized Egypt for three years, but he was able to influence Egypt in a tremendous way, indicating that Egypt has the same influence towards the Arabs, but without colonization, as Egypt’s culture dominates the Arab world, indicating that the time has come to restore this influence again, as we have a tremendous power that we must use well to achieve. Successful policies, then he expressed his happiness for attending this forum and his thanks to the attendees for listening well, concluding his speech with applause and admiration from the attendees.
