On the occasion of the exam results and the overlapping opinions, education expert Dr. Hossam Badrawi:
“Student assessment:
Student assessment must be transformed into an enjoyable, fair and comprehensive process that tests what students actually know as well as how they perform and works on developing learning skills and self-realization, so that this terrifying process (exam anxiety) does not remain, which has dedicated practices such as private lessons, buying notes and cheating in exams to get out of the predicament of low grades that lead to comparison with others and absolute judgment of failure.
The view of the concept of assessment has changed, so we see it as a description instead of a measurement, performance instead of a test, a portfolio instead of a grade, constructive and diagnostic instead of a source of judgments, collaborative performance, reflection and self-evaluation instead of competition and evaluation of others.
In fact, success in exams is an indication of the success of the teacher and not the student, because all students and pupils have the ability to succeed if they are taught well.
Student assessment criteria must include:
– Validity, meaning that the exam actually measures what is required to be measured.
– Reliability, meaning that the exam gives the same results to students if it is corrected Different correctors.

Justice, fairness and equal opportunities to the same degree for all examinees.

The results of the assessment do not measure the students’ abilities in reality, but the abilities of the school and teachers. All students have a readiness to excel in something, and the teacher’s role is to discover that and develop it.”
