MINIA GOVERNOR RECEIVES DR. BADRAWI TO DISCUSS EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT IN THE GOVERNORATE

Minia Governor, Essam El-Bedawi, received Prof. Hossam Badrawi at his office in the governorate headquarters, to discuss education development in the governorate. Also, Dr. Gamal Abul-Magd, President of Minia University, and Ramadan Abdel Hamid, Deputy Minister to Education participated in the meeting. The meeting was held before the activities of Dr. Badrawi’s “The Teacher of the Future” educational conference, in which Dr. Badrawi spoke about the importance  that the whole society adopts Egypt 2030 Vision in education, as education in Egypt should be in high quality and available to everyone, with no discrimination, education in Egypt should be in high quality and available to everyone, with no discrimination, the tools required to achieve the goals should be made available, relevant to the educational process, within an institutional system that should not be changed as a ruler or a minister is changed and is efficient, fair and flexible. “Education is the main gateway to Egypt’s development. Hence, clear goals must be set for education development and principals and teachers’ preparation, in a manner that matches the speed of international changes. Education should be within an efficient institutional system that contributes to building an integrated character and unleash the maximum potentials of a proud, enlightened, innovative citizen, proud of his/her country history, passionate to build its future and capable of dealing competitively with regional and international entities,” he added. Badrawi affirmed that there was no fear of changing the types of education and presence of international schools, as long as the state is strong enough to impose its identity at schools, even if they are international. Language, history and geography are the elements that make the identity. Non-compromisable parameters should be set at all schools, otherwise; welcome to innovation and everyone must adhere to the identity principles. In his turn, the Governor assured the importance of educational process and scientific excellence in producing a generation capable of taking the responsibility for the future, as well as the key role that teacher and school, along with the family, play in education. He emphasized the necessity to care about student and teacher, as education is the key to advancement. The Governor pointed out that Minia is a promising governorate by its excelled youngsters and youth who are Egypt stronghold and hope of tomorrow. The British School choir performed some shows in Arabic and English, as well as a special show about Dr. Hossam Badrawi.  Minia teachers and students welcomed Dr. Badrawi in huge ovation, shared interactive discussions after the show about him and took commemorative photos.
