In the mid-nineties, in the youthful vigor, as a junior professor in the College of Medicine, the students of the college participated in the establishment of one of the largest university families, which we called the family of the descendants of the Pharaohs. She used to publish a monthly magazine that witnessed an unprecedented distribution at the university (5000) copies, called “Welcome, Doctor”.
Within two years, the number of family members between Kasr Al-Ainy and other universities reached ten thousand students. I rented out a Cairo cinema on the first Thursday of every month, and invited students to watch a new movie. The family has a group for music and another for acting, and all kinds of arts. We invited senior intellectuals to the medical school theater to meet the students in lively and lively discussions. The acting team performed a play on the small opera theater in the presence of the Minister of Education, President of the University and Minister of Culture Farouk Hosni at the time.. The youth of the family decided to enter the Student Union elections, which was completely occupied by Islamic groups, and they managed to win 62 seats out of 72, and this was what the security services could not achieved under pressure at that time. Descendants of the Pharaohs is a stage in my life that I see as luminous, enjoyable, and filled with positive energy, which increased my confidence in the youth and capabilities of the Egyptian people.
I thought about these young people after graduation, from all colleges, and we decided to establish an association that we called “The Dreamers of Tomorrow and Those Who Work for It.”
We held the first conference of this association in the great conference hall, attended by 1,500 young men and women from all parts of Egypt.. The themes of the conference talked about democracy as a way of life, student life, a space for enlightenment, the role of Muslim and Coptic youth in strengthening the national fabric, and planning the practical life of youth, Self-discovery and communication with the different others, small industries and their role in providing job opportunities.
The association still exists until now, and is active, and I am still in contact with a large number of its youth and the youth of the grandchildren of the Pharaohs and other university and school students whom I meet, and they ask me, and dialogue with me with inspiring and beautiful love and affection, and they are the reason for my writing “On the Cafe of Dreamers of Tomorrow” to convey The perspectives of new generations of young people in a group of dialogues, I think, will add a lot to society.

Young people gathered around me after my lecture in which I spoke about the great October victory, and I said that October 6 is the greatest day of my life, because whoever has not lived the humiliation of defeat 67 cannot taste the beauty and values of 73. I was in the Bachelor of Medicine in Qasr Al-Ainy, and each of us had a brother, father, friend or relative in the army who fought for the country’s dignity.
One of the young men who was born 35 years after this day told me:
It is not so strong, Doctor Hossam. There are books that say that Egypt did not win this battle in the first place. Who do we believe?
Another said: You said that about the 56th war, and it came out in the end, with no victory, and Israel occupied Sinai after that, had it not been for the intervention of America.
I said: This is incorrect, because the outcome of a war battle is known by those who imposed their will on the other.. In 56 Egypt, its will was imposed on England, France and Israel, and every country uses its armies and diplomacy to achieve the purpose. At the end of the war, Egypt imposed its control over the Suez Canal and regained the Sinai, so the result of the war was a victory for Egypt, and his resignation to the Prime Minister of Great Britain.
In 73, the whole world knew the impossibility of crossing the Canal and penetrating the Bar-Lev line, which was considered at the time the strongest lines of defense in the history of world war, with the technological and strategic superiority of the Israeli aviation. It was the belief of the world that this was an end situation that would not change.
What happened in the end was the crossing of our forces with wise organization and leadership, changing the stable military situation, and then negotiating from a position of strength and not defeat.. All that happened after that was the opening of the Suez Canal to global navigation, the return of the immigrant people of Port Said, Ismailia and Suez, and the restoration of Sinai. The October 6 war was part of an integrated strategy to restore dignity and land.
They said: But we have determined the number of our forces in Sinai, and the restoration of Sinai was incomplete.
I said: You and I go to Sharm El-Sheikh and St. Catherine, and until the start of ISIS terrorism, we used to go to El-Arish and roam in Sinai as we wanted. Every gain has a price, and we must understand that, and realize that the Golan is still under absolute occupation, after fifty years, and that the East Bank is likewise.

We changed the geographical and historical reality.
They said: Why do we only read rumors and verbal outbursts in the media that make us doubt the truth about the large number of outbidding?
I said: You have a right, and you have a duty.. The truth. I agree with you that the media outbursts and the blowing of victory are hidden by mistakes, as if we are angels and Superman questioning the facts.
But we must also search, read the memoirs of our heroes and enemies, and make up our minds.
I would like to remind you once again that October 6 is actually the greatest day in my life, as we were surprised that our army crossed, and achieved a victory, and my feeling of pride and pride will not be forgotten. Everyone volunteered their abilities, and Egypt really won, boys.

The interested youth must read the general framework of the Camp David Accords, in order to understand the facts. Rather, teaching the October War in education curricula must be based on a scientific vision, not rhetorical arguments that make students not believe the facts afterwards.
Our negligence and manipulation of what is taught about our respected history is hypocrisy for a political system that comes and goes, or extreme in negligence and outbidding in achieving
