Wisdom.. orange
Hossam Badrawi
Every day we hear stories about the change of morals and principles of some people who have a strong friendship that lasted for some time, then collapsed with the first challenge, or marriages that began with love and love and lasted for years, after which hatred, courts and conflict began.
The person whom you admired yesterday, his abilities and his good thinking, today changes and turns against you and you turn against him, and a state of attraction and tension begins with him and feelings of appreciation turn into hostile feelings. Is this behavior of human nature?!!, or a lack of awareness of the qualities of friends and loved ones at the time of desire and need!!, so people are surprised by what is in others at a particular moment, and there may not actually be surprises.
Imam Ali bin Abi Talib says: “Love your beloved in moderation, as he may one day hate you, and hate your enemy with modesty as long as he may be your beloved one day.”
The question here is: Should love be balanced without extremism, and hate and hostility without exaggeration, injustice and aggression? Is it required slow down, patience and endurance? People do not always talk and do as we want and love, there are different interests of human beings, and interests may coincide and may sometimes conflict. There are priorities in the life of every human being, who may not know that they are his priorities until he is exposed to dangers, even the one he loves.
Therefore, hostility must not be absolute, inevitable and permanent, but we must always find a way to return and retreat, and if you close a door, open a window. Similarly, in the field of love and friendship, do not drain your feelings in vain, but make the balance line present and permanently present.
But there is a more interesting opposite idea that says that balance comes from the wisdom of experience and from the length of people’s coexistence, but it also takes from the outburst of feeling that brings its highest levels of pleasure from some extremes in closeness, love, love and jealousy that make feelings inflamed.
Wisdom makes long-term balanced feelings, and takes a little ecstasy, and extremism of feelings gives euphoria that may not be long or live with a person.
Even in politics, the leaders who moved peoples, conquered countries, and established empires were often extremists in thought, perception, and action.
Which one is closer to your mind and conscience?
I re-read what I wrote as usual, and thought about myself over time and what changed me. I found that in my youth I had experienced the rush of feelings, and enjoyed the victorious victory, and my body must have been producing tons of the alchemy of emotion, but at the same time I was very angry and blamed and did not accept defeat.
Over time I changed, part of me changed voluntarily as I was dissatisfied with the rush to criticize others sharply, and part of me changed with the waves of life experience and wisdom, reading and the friendship of some who had put fate in my way.
I look at the best in the people around me, and look for the beauty in them. And I ran out of anger in moments of failure.
My appreciation for friendship increased, and my sense of outburst of love and affection decreased!!!
My life gradually turned, and by my will, to moderation in everything, so I lost the beauty and intensity of emotion and gained the sustainability of love.
While I was a student, Tuhuria, I wanted immediate changes, and over time I became a reformer who saw the importance of sustaining gradualism and planning to reach the goal. It is wisdom, life experience and the ability to choose.
Everything we do in our lives has a choice, even if we think otherwise.
In the telepathy of thoughts with love and mutual respect, my friend sent me d. Ahmed Al-Juyoushi, a message about an article by Professor Sana Al-Baisi about d. Zaki Naguib Mahmoud said in his interview with him: “In my youth, I was very irritable and passionate, especially if there was a difference of opinion in the matter. I was based on the correctness of my idea.. and I was very sad if I lost in the game, very happy if I won it, and my veins were boiling for long days if I got angry at an insult I had inflicted and I could not reply, as my blood was about to freeze whenever I was disappointed in a hope I had hoped for.. Life taught me the coldness of emotions, and it taught me that acute emotion means a lack of thinking power.. Yes, the pleasure of life decreased when the emotions cooled in my soul, but the pain of life also decreased accordingly.. I do not hesitate to choose a little pleasure and pain together. If I no longer have the pleasure of the violent love that youth enjoys, I am, besides this, at peace of mind from its aches and pains, and if a young man knows love, then old age knows what friendship is? Friendship is nothing but love in which passion has subsided, and its evils have been removed from it, and the commitment to reality in a calm manner, away from the hustle and screams of passion, is what we call the experience of life.. And what was the heaviest blood shed by the wars of individual whims, and how happy people would be in an earthly paradise if their emotions calmed down between south of them, so you did not push them away from blind misguidance.”
Can this mature stage in our lives be called “emotional cold?”
“Does that make us happy or does it make us sad?!!!”
After I read Professor Sana Al-Baisi’s article, I closed my eyes and marveled at the interaction of ideas with the philosopher Dr. Zaki Naguib Mahfouz, and I remembered his great influence on me. When I entered the elections for the first time and then during my political career, what he said to me about “the power of the dispensable” was one of the most prominent forms of my political sentiment.
Perhaps my belief in this humanitarian political philosophy is what kept me away from ministerial positions, more than once, and caused the political leaders to be confused, as they always asked, “What do you want?”
And because I was truly dispensed, I was stronger and able to choose and apologize for assignments that did not fit my philosophy, which sometimes puzzled the first in my intentions because they did not believe that I was really dispensed.
Professor Khaled Mohamed Khaled also had an impact and influence. He was a friend despite the age difference, and he was always admitted to the Nile Badrawi Hospital for convalescence, which allowed me a long time to talk with him.
I was surprised when he wrote in his last book, My Story with Life: “Dr. Hossam Badrawi…a skilled doctor, auspicious… He grants the pass to everyone who comes to life from the world of sperm and wombs… Then he is a person who is a tormented soul.”

.. He purified the secret.. the tongue, he reminds people of the good of what is in them and praises the merits of those who have merit in them, is it true what the Arab poet says that the great are the equivalent of the great?
I was greatly affected by his observation, and I became more aware of these qualities in myself, and even worked to confirm them in my conscience, as if Khaled Muhammad Khaled had revealed my truth to me, so I became more attached to it and worked on developing it.
In another conversation with my educated friend, she said to me: I do not see you in a state of emotional coldness or boring moderation, as happens with others, but I feel your balance in a different way. The balance in your formation may be in the transition from the passion of youth and the rush and pleasure of its feelings to the wisdom of maturity, control of feelings, deliberation and deliberation, the balance may also be in combining them and holding them together, in the alloy of the human entity. Every intense emotion contains ecstasy and wisdom, and behind every wisdom is an intense emotion. In terms of colours, the orange color, for example, is the brightest, warmest and most striking color, and it is not a balanced degree between yellow and red, but rather a combination, mixing and homogeneous blending between them. As well as passion and wisdom of orange color.
It was with the pleasure of my Lord that He put in my path the likes of my wise friends and the likes of my teachers in school and university, and pioneers of my thought industry: Professor Al-Akkad, Dr. Taha Hussein, Dr. Zaki Najeeb Mahmoud, Professor Khaled Muhammad Khaled, Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, and others, each one From them he had an impact in shaping my culture and defining my identity, and I took from them what I wanted for myself to build my conscience, so I became who I am now.
