Dr. Badrawi attends the closing ceremony of the Arab Universities Forum at the Library of Alexandria

The youth of the University Theater Forum from 25 universities decided to continue their meeting and confront the tragedy of Palestine and Israel’s treacherous aggression with art, instead of isolation and cancellation.
Dr. attended. Hossam Badrawy at the Great Library of Alexandria, the closing ceremony of the Arab Universities Forum, which he sponsors and chairs its senior management committee, in which they support young people from Egypt, led by Amr Kabil, the beautiful artist who chairs the forum and is the dynamo behind its fifth annual success.
The Grand Theater at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina witnessed the closing ceremony of the fifth session of the Cairo International Forum for University Theater, held by the distinguished artist Farida Fahmy, under the slogan “Life is Ours,” today, October 27, 2023, where he distributed the forum’s competition prizes and honored the winners.
The play “The Beggars’ Drama” was presented for the students of the Theater Department at the Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University, at the end of the festival. The play was written by: Badr Muhareb, dramaturgy and directed by: Dr. Jamal Yaqut.
The fifth session of the forum witnessed a great international resonance as a cultural and artistic teacher referred to as Lebanon, and university students and all those who share a passion and passion for theater from various countries of the world sought to participate in its various activities. The fifth session achieved a resounding success, which was headed by director Amr Kabil, and its higher committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Hossam. Badrawi, whose members include the star artist Tariq El-Desouki, the writer and author Fatima Naout, and the writer Dr. Amal Siddiq Afifi, and Professor Dr. Samar Saeed, Dean of the Higher Institute of Folk Arts, Secretary-General of the Forum, and Artistic Director of the Forum, the star artist Hossam Dagher.
The closing ceremony was more than wonderful and was met with applause from those attending. The forum organized its fifth session, from October 21 to 27, 2023. The fifth session of the forum witnessed 10 Egyptian, Arab and foreign theatrical performances in the official competition. During this week, the forum’s audience watched three performances. Egyptian and six Arab shows from Iraq, the Sultanate of Oman, the Emirates, Tunisia, Morocco, Kuwait, a foreign show from Ghana, a show outside the official competition by the Taiba Academy team, and a theatrical show at the closing ceremony. The forum’s activities also witnessed 5 competitions accompanying the official competition for performances, and the forum organized Also a special program for the “intellectual framework” for the fifth session, entitled “University Theater…International Demonstrations.”
The performances were presented by young people from Arab and European countries, and they decided not to postpone their meeting, despite the painful events in Palestine, but rather to express them, as this is the role of art. They decided not to escape from facing the event, but to confront it, for this is what art is.
Young people from more than 22 countries participated in the forum, including the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Tunisia, Morocco, Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Ghana, Italy, Spain, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Iraq, and a large elite of artists and intellectuals from the Arab and European world participated in the committees. From Egypt, the distinguished artist Suhair Al-Morshedy participated, who participated in the forum. Her presence received great applause and a welcome from all the participating delegations, as well as the great artist Azza Labib, the artist Hossam Dagher, the distinguished artist Tariq Al-Desouki, the scenography professor Dr. Aida Allam, and from Lebanon the star Randa Al-Asmar, the Qatari artist Salem Al-Mansouri and the Bahraini Ali Salman, and from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Tahani Al-Gharibi and Professor Abdel Rahman Al-Harithi. From Spain, flamenco dance teacher Ana Maria, from Belgium, Maylis, and from Sweden, artist Karim Rashid.
The course was run by a distinguished group of Egyptian youth who, led by director Amr Kabil, gained great experience year after year, which gained the admiration of the participating guests and delegations, as they greatly praised the level of organization and event management, including Dr. Maya Al-Ajmi, Director of Public Relations, Andrew Samir, Executive Director, Mohamed Al-Shaira, Administrative Director, and the wonderful youth of the organizing committee, Nourhan Hani. And Muhammad Manu, Chico, Wafaa Qabil, Rana Qabil, Malak Yasser, Mai Al-Damasi, and Muhammad Fajal.
In addition to the Media Center Battalion, headed by Dr. Tariq Ammar, along with Rana Raafat, Hemat Mustafa, and Ahmed Al-Hafnawi.
The British University in Egypt hosted the opening of the forum, and the Library of Alexandria was the venue for its conclusion in all its beauty and fragrance
The forum supported the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Tourism Promotion Authority, Al-Nahda University, Thebes Academy, and the Student Weapon Foundation, and we thank everyone for that.
There is nothing better in Egypt and its value than what these young volunteers do year after year…
