Dr. Badrawi inaugurates the third cultural salon to discuss the book “The New Woman” by Qassem

In the presence of a group of thinkers, writers and media professionals, Prof. Hossam Badrawi inaugurated today the third online cultural salon of the Association for the Dissemination of Culture and Knowledge, which is scheduled to be held monthly, the first Wednesday of every month
The dialogue in the salon was moderated by journalist writer Muhammad Abu Shama, in the presence of 30 participants from public figures, writers and media professionals, and nearly 30,000 online followers,,
The theme of the third salon was a discussion of the book “The New Woman” by writer Qassem Amin, with the participation of MP Anisa Hassouna, artist Ilham Shaheen, Dr. Nadia Badrawi, writer Mai Azzam, media person Dina Othman, writer Adel Noman, theater director Amr Kabil, and journalist writer Mohamed Refaat.
The meeting, which was broadcast online, opened with a speech from Dr. Hossam Badrawi, in which he expressed his desire to stir the cultural situation in Egypt through the use of technology and the participation of numbers that were not able to participate before in such enlightening cultural sessions, and pointed out the importance of discussing the book “The New Woman”. Since March is Women’s Month, it has Mother’s Day, Egyptian Women’s Day, and International Women’s Day
During the meeting, the speakers interacted with the audience in the hall and the online audience by answering their questions and interventions. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Badrawi indicated that the next book that will be discussed during the next salon is the book “The Children of Our Neighborhood” by Naguib Mahfouz.
The attendees commended the idea and the salon, which enabled the expansion of the circle of participation, in which more than 2,000 messages and comments and more than 30,000 online viewers participated.
