The meeting of Board of Trustees (BoT) of Bibliotheca Alexandria (BA) was attended by Dr. Hossam Badrawi. At the meeting, Dr. Mostafa El Feki was appointed as the new BA director, succeeding Dr. Ismail Serageldin. The future of BA was discussed in the presence of republics presidents, prime ministers, trustees of international libraries and international academic figures being members of BoT and their advisory council which performs its duties in a professional, precise and respectful way that honors the history of the library that has the scent of Egypt history.
Egyptian ex officio members in this board are Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Higher Education, Minister of Culture, Governor of Alexandria and President of Alexandria University. Egyptian members by names are Dr. Magdi Yacoub, Dr. Ahmed Kamal Aboul Magd, Dr. Fayza Abul- Naga, Dr. Hisham Al-Sharif, Dr. Hossam Badrawi, Dr. Farouk El Okdah, Dr. Mounir Neemat-Allah, Dr. Farouk El- Baz and Dr. Nadia Makram Ebeid. The board is chaired by Dr. Adel El-Beltagy, on behalf of the Republic President.
