Dr. Badrawi Yankab in Al-Masry Al-Youm: On Egyptian Women’s Day

On Egyptian Women’s Day
Hossam Badrawi

The young man who is open to life said to me: We have collected for you some of your sayings about women, which we saw express your vision as we understood it.

I said happily: Say and remind me.

He said: This is some of what we collected and documented.

The source of energy in each of the six trillion cells in every human body is a nano-organ, called the mitochondria, and it is the only organelle in creation, which is inherited from the mother only and not from the mother and father. Because the mother is the origin, and the mother is the only source of energy for man, whether male or female.

Why do I love a woman more as a friend and companion than a man? .. Because friendship is all love and peace of mind.. The beautiful thing about friendship with a woman is that there is no blame in her and there is no need to justify an action or absence.. Friendship with a woman gets rid of the pressures of marriage, and can be partnered with. It does not require pleasing a friend, but rather being as you are.. In friendship, time is relative. Years may pass and you meet a friend as if it were yesterday.. In friendship there is joy without cost, a bond without price, a bosom and a tender chest in a moment of need.. The origin of friendship is true in feeling and expression. There is no need for anything but Him.. In friendship there is trust that is not tested in every shot, and love that does not pass a test because it does not need a certificate to prove it.

My mother is the gentle breeze in my life, the sound of music in my sentiments and every member of the family, which we feel without interference, and we go to her without invitation or pressure, and we see her love cementing our relations with each other, and a link to the feelings of four successive generations in her arms.

My mother is a unique personality in tenderness, tenderness, and simplicity.. No two people in the family differ as the sweetest and most beautiful among all the daughters and women of the family..

It’s over ninety years old and still gives us the same sense of peace and serenity. We did not know with her tension, nor anger, we did not see interference in privacy or preference. She gives everyone her love as if she were a flower in an orchard entirely of her own making. I thank God for blessing us with my mother, for mother and woman are the origin of life.

– I agree with what the world called “positive discrimination”, and for one or two cycles until women take their natural place after centuries of negative discrimination against them. In a just race, we cannot start women from a point later than men due to a culture that spanned through generations, and we imagine that they will compete fairly.. Positive discrimination is a duty, but for a specific period of time.

In every historical event, the Egyptian woman had a place, but things are not measured at the expense of the moment or the exceptions that showed the character of the Egyptian woman. For example, two things stick in my mind from the history of the 19th revolution in Egypt as a child, from the history of teaching the revolution and from the movies, but the image is the marriage of the crescent and the cross and the participation of Egyptian women in sound, image and influence. Two images that stick in my mind on 6-30, the modern Egyptian revolution, are the participation of the Egyptian woman, and that her voice is higher than the voice of men.

Hafez Ibrahim said:

And money if you do not save it fortified with knowledge is the end of destitution

If knowledge is not surrounded by merits that exalt it, it is the mount of failure

Do not think that knowledge is of benefit alone as long as his Lord is not crowned with creation

Whoever raises women for me is in the East the reason for that failure

A mother is a school. If you prepare her, you will prepare a people of good races

Mother Rawd, if his life pledge to irrigate leaves no matter how much it spills

The mother is the professor of the robotic teachers whose exploits have occupied the horizons

The Egyptian woman is great and extraordinary as a farmer and worker, and when she was given education, she excelled and excelled, and when she headed the country in our Pharaonic history, she was inspired and led. And when she married the prophets, such as Abraham and Muhammad, she gave birth to the grandfather of the Arabs, Ismail, and when she decided and preserved, she protected Moses from being killed, and the Jews would not have existed without the wife of Pharaoh, who embraced and raised. The Egyptian woman has the genes of civilization and capabilities that must be liberated from backward restrictions imposed on her by seclusion behind men..

– A young woman said: We inherit half of the man, isn’t that discriminatory against us?

I said: The woman inherits half of the man, so she can save it all for herself and not spend anything from it, and the man remains responsible for all spending, otherwise he has no guardianship, meaning that a man’s rights towards his family and family are subject to spending, which revolves with him in existence and absence, men are in charge of women with what God preferred some of them over others and what they spent of their money, and preference as I understand it is knowledge and knowledge.

Another young man said: So, it is a competition between women and men in what is available from the livelihood.

I said: Rather, it is an integration between humans to create new livelihoods, and a strength for the community to use its full energies, not just half of it.

A young woman said: But what protects women in this time from male tyranny?

I said: Knowledge is knowledge, and knowledge. Every family should arm its daughters with science and knowledge. There is no way to protect rights without that.

About Dr. Hossam Badrawi

Dr. Hossam Badrawi
He is a politician, intellect, and prominent physician. He is the former head of the Gynecology Department, Faculty of Medicine Cairo University. He conducted his post graduate studies from 1979 till 1981 in the United States. He was elected as a member of the Egyptian Parliament and chairman of the Education and Scientific Research Committee in the Parliament from 2000 till 2005. As a politician, Dr. Hossam Badrawi was known for his independent stances. His integrity won the consensus of all people from various political trends. During the era of former president Hosni Mubarak he was called The Rationalist in the National Democratic Party NDP because his political calls and demands were consistent to a great extent with calls for political and democratic reform in Egypt. He was against extending the state of emergency and objected to the National Democratic Party's unilateral constitutional amendments during the January 25, 2011 revolution. He played a very important political role when he defended, from the very first beginning of the revolution, the demonstrators' right to call for their demands. He called on the government to listen and respond to their demands. Consequently and due to Dr. Badrawi's popularity, Mubarak appointed him as the NDP Secretary General thus replacing the members of the Bureau of the Commission. During that time, Dr. Badrawi expressed his political opinion to Mubarak that he had to step down. He had to resign from the party after 5 days of his appointment on February 10 when he declared his political disagreement with the political leadership in dealing with the demonstrators who called for handing the power to the Muslim Brotherhood. Therefore, from the very first moment his stance was clear by rejecting a religion-based state which he considered as aiming to limit the Egyptians down to one trend. He considered deposed president Mohamed Morsi's decision to bring back the People's Assembly as a reinforcement of the US-supported dictatorship. He was among the first to denounce the incursion of Morsi's authority over the judicial authority, condemning the Brotherhood militias' blockade of the Supreme Constitutional Court. Dr. Hossam supported the Tamarod movement in its beginning and he declared that toppling the Brotherhood was a must and a pressing risk that had to be taken few months prior to the June 30 revolution and confirmed that the army would support the legitimacy given by the people
