During a grand celebration, the Jusoor educational initiative in Ismailia Governorate concluded its activities and events for the past phase. The initiative aims to support the role of civil society in the development of education.
Governor of Ismailia, Dr. Hossam Badrawi, the patron of the initiative, welcomed the province’s guests in his office, where a cooperation protocol was signed between Ismailia Governorate, the Jusoor initiative, and the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education. This agreement establishes a training pathway for education professionals in the governorate, paving the way for Ismailia to become one of the first governorates whose schools pass the new accreditation standards evaluation.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Salma El-Bakry, Chairperson of the Education First Board of Trustees; Ms. Miray Naseem, Executive Director of Takatof Association; Prof. Dr. Alaa Ashmawy, President of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education; Dr. Mahmoud Hamza, CEO and General Coordinator of Jusoor; Mr. Ayman Moussa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in the governorate; Dr. Asmaa Mostafa, Deputy of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation; Dr. Ali Hatab, Director of the Technical Office in the governorate; as well as executive and educational leaders, initiative founders from Takatof Association, Misr El-Kheir Foundation, Vodafone Egypt, Nile Badrawi Foundation, and Education First Foundation, along with local leaders of the initiative in Ismailia, including Mr. Tharwat Abdel Aziz and Mr. Ahmed El-Aidi, as well as journalists, media representatives, and public relations officials from the governorate.
Following the signing, attendees proceeded to the celebration held at the School of Technology.
Dr. Hossam Badrawi expressed his gratitude to the governor for his full support of the initiative and his strong belief that education is a matter of national importance for Egypt’s future. He emphasized that any major national renaissance must begin with education and highlighted the alignment of the initiative with Egypt Vision 2030. He also extended his thanks to all initiative partners, team members, teachers, trainers, and educational leaders in the governorate.
In his speech, Dr. Alaa Ashmawy, President of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, expressed his great joy at being in Ismailia for the signing of the training protocol for accreditation. He reaffirmed the commitment to overcoming any challenges to ensure the initiative’s success and praised the efforts of the initiative’s leaders and partners.
Dr. Mahmoud Hamza, CEO and General Coordinator of Jusoor, provided a comprehensive explanation of the initiative’s objectives and the concrete, diligent work carried out. He outlined the role of each stakeholder, including civil society partners and local government leaders, emphasizing the governor’s unwavering belief in the importance and value of education. He also extended special thanks to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, department directors, and all educational leaders and personnel.
At the conclusion of the event, the governor and Dr. Hossam Badrawi honored the winners of various Jusoor competitions, including:
- Jusoor School competition
- Jusoor Leader competition
- Jusoor Teacher competition
- Jusoor Youth competition
Additionally, outstanding students from the previous year’s preparatory certificate examinations who successfully completed a 15-day training program were recognized.
The ceremony concluded with a group photo session for the attendees.
