Dr. Hossam Badrawi writes about Dr. Nadia Badrawi on the occasion of her winning the State Award for Pioneers

Dr. Nadia Badrawi, Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Ophthalmology, Cairo University, wins the State Pioneers Award….
She is truly an enterprising, great, and pioneering person in pediatrics and education, and deserves appreciation and respect.
As for her as a sister, she has another taste. I wrote about her, saying:
She is my sister…
She is the strong, supportive sister, worth a thousand men.
And when a sister is affectionate, a friend, and passionate, as is the case with my sister, God has given me affection for her, and granted me temporal support. So what if she is also a scholar, strong, and a doctor who takes care of the mother, siblings, children, grandchildren, and husband. At every moment and in every situation.
No one in the family has an influence like hers, nor a presence like hers. Not only for her small family, but for all our children and grandchildren.
She is always present, influential at all times, treating and wise for all of them. She is the first to come to mind for every mother in the family at the moment of need or fear for the children. She is the support wall for every small family of our big family, not only for her scientific skill, but for her peace of mind. The amazing thing is that every child who grows up, she remains his doctor and lover, no matter how tall, old, or heavy he is. She is my sister, my first friend, and my caregiver over the years. What a woman worth a thousand men.
