The educational expert, Dr. Hossam Badrawi, Secretary-General of the dissolved National Party, said that the government’s intention to implement the new education system is a brave step, explaining the attack on it that any attempt for change must be met with societal resistance.
Badrawi added, during his meeting with the “Here is the Capital” program, broadcast on CBC, with the media, Lamis Al-Hadidi, on Sunday evening, that the people’s fear of the cumulative assessment is wrong, explaining that this type of assessment is universally applicable and its absence in The former led to the exacerbation of private lessons.
He stated that the state should strongly support the new education system, adding: “It is necessary to convince the citizens of it, not to impose it without understanding it. The experienced politician is the one who convinces people of his opinions and does not impose them on them.”
He added that there are commendable trends within the framework of the new system, including teaching students foreign languages at the primary level, asking: “Caring for the Arabic language is a necessity, and teaching English in the early stages of education is followed globally, but how can this be done without a good language teacher?”
He explained that education will not be developed within a year or two, and therefore there must be sustainability in the implementation of the plan even with the change of ministers, as sustainability is the basis for advancing education, adding: “There is no educational system above the level of its teachers, and the new education system must be linked to the vision of ( Egypt 2030) to ensure the sustainability of implementation.
