MY STORY WITH ILLNESS AND EGYPTIAN DOCTORS IN GERMANY

I should share you my pride of and appreciation to the beautiful youth of Egypt in Germany.

When pain increased, complications got worse and the heartbeats of my lifetime mate became irregular, randomly screamed, we had to resort to tough solutions that concluded with 3 electric shocks within 10 days. The deferred solution became inescapable and the decision from which we have run away for years became inevitable.

Now the chest must be incised, the heart must be stopped, the valves must be replaced and the heart power must be enhanced with urgent surgery. An atrium has been enlarged, a ventricle has been exhausted and fluids leaked to the lungs. It was not only her heart that was ill, but also her thyroid which caused the onset of this was larger and bigger. Medications increased, day after day, until they became dozens. I searched everywhere for the best: Japan, United States or Germany. The world developed, heart surgeries became increasingly specific. We found the creator of the new heart surgery without chest incision and the suffering it causes during and after the operation is a German one. It is true that his method is now applied in many medical centers worldwide, but I found some of his students in Germany who are internationally respected, with outstanding results in precision, swiftness and use of technological devices that make open-heart surgery just a few centimeters incision.

We consulted, trusted God and chose Germany. We followed the best student of the procedure creator, a few years ago. He locates in a suburban of a city called Bad Berka, Germany.

I called and was astonished to find an Egyptian young man, Tamer Ewaiss, working at the hospital. He called me back, arranged the procedures with me. We travelled to one of the most beautiful hospitals I have ever seen.

When my son, daughter, brother and his wife, my lifetime mate and I arrived Bad Berka, our astonishment and pride increased. Dr. Tamer Ewaiss, 40 years old, is a distinguished consultant specializing in cardiac valve surgery, especially aorta. He is not just humane and Egyptian, but is also wise, outstanding and respected by all. He is one of the top 5 consultants of this procedure in the hospital.

Not only Ewaiss, but also the hardworking Egyptian Dr. Mina Roman, consultant assistant in operations who worked in France and learnt German in just 8 months to work at this place, seeking to have the experience and the certificate that will soon qualify him to be a consultant.

Then, I found some of these young Egyptians in cardiology, radiology and other departments.

I was surprised also to find that the head of spine operations is a 42-year Egyptian Alexandria University graduate. He came to welcome me with 4 creative successful Egyptian surgeons from his department, who assist him in his work.

Wherever we go, we find them. They are very respectable.

Thanks God, my wife recovered after the procedure. Our children from Egypt pleased us at the moments of pain, fear and waiting.

O youth of Egypt, you are its hope and you can do it.

With my wife recovery, life came back to me. My belief and faith in my country became stronger when I saw its youth struggle, compete and get respected, even out of their country.

Thanks God

About Dr. Hossam Badrawi

Dr. Hossam Badrawi
He is a politician, intellect, and prominent physician. He is the former head of the Gynecology Department, Faculty of Medicine Cairo University. He conducted his post graduate studies from 1979 till 1981 in the United States. He was elected as a member of the Egyptian Parliament and chairman of the Education and Scientific Research Committee in the Parliament from 2000 till 2005. As a politician, Dr. Hossam Badrawi was known for his independent stances. His integrity won the consensus of all people from various political trends. During the era of former president Hosni Mubarak he was called The Rationalist in the National Democratic Party NDP because his political calls and demands were consistent to a great extent with calls for political and democratic reform in Egypt. He was against extending the state of emergency and objected to the National Democratic Party's unilateral constitutional amendments during the January 25, 2011 revolution. He played a very important political role when he defended, from the very first beginning of the revolution, the demonstrators' right to call for their demands. He called on the government to listen and respond to their demands. Consequently and due to Dr. Badrawi's popularity, Mubarak appointed him as the NDP Secretary General thus replacing the members of the Bureau of the Commission. During that time, Dr. Badrawi expressed his political opinion to Mubarak that he had to step down. He had to resign from the party after 5 days of his appointment on February 10 when he declared his political disagreement with the political leadership in dealing with the demonstrators who called for handing the power to the Muslim Brotherhood. Therefore, from the very first moment his stance was clear by rejecting a religion-based state which he considered as aiming to limit the Egyptians down to one trend. He considered deposed president Mohamed Morsi's decision to bring back the People's Assembly as a reinforcement of the US-supported dictatorship. He was among the first to denounce the incursion of Morsi's authority over the judicial authority, condemning the Brotherhood militias' blockade of the Supreme Constitutional Court. Dr. Hossam supported the Tamarod movement in its beginning and he declared that toppling the Brotherhood was a must and a pressing risk that had to be taken few months prior to the June 30 revolution and confirmed that the army would support the legitimacy given by the people
