Theater puppet consciousness – Hossam Badrawi

Theater puppet awareness
Hossam Badrawi
“Where do I begin” is a dialogue with oneself that may push everyone who reads this article to return to themselves to know them better, and to put dots above letters; Meanings become clear, and a more complete picture emerges. Nothing comes from nothing, and every event in our history since inception has an imprint on “Who are you?” and “Why are you who you are?” How was your awareness of your small and large society, or your awareness of your planet, the universe, or parallel universes created if your fields of knowledge expanded…
You are a set of values, ideas, and practices that your being and the society surrounding you translate into a mental image of you.
Awareness is considered a mental state through which we perceive reality and the facts that are happening around us, through a person’s contact with the environment in which he lives, and his contact with it. Consciousness gradually matures through awareness of all the beings around a person through the outlets of awareness, which are represented by his senses, which are transmitted to his mind, so he interprets them, synthesizes them, and perceives them.
Awareness may be partial, when ideas and concepts are limited to a specific aspect or area and do not include all interconnected aspects, aspects and levels that are affected and influence each other in the process of life’s development.
The awareness of each of us shapes our present and future, and our collective awareness may do the same thing for all of humanity.
For example, I am aware of the importance and priority of education, knowledge, and health care for citizens…and with the passage of time and the accumulation of experience and depth, I redefined them as rights and not services, so my political outlook changed, with renewed awareness, and I began to strive that obtaining the right is not linked to the citizen’s ability to pay its cost, but rather to the community’s ability. I have to finance it all so that no child or young person is deprived of it under any circumstances.
I believe that every reader must know the psychological and mental structure of himself and of everyone who reads and listens to him, and does he connect the ideas and principles he speaks about into a certain fabric? If it were, what are its foundations upon which its consistency is built?
A friend of mine said to me: “Why, and where did the idea of dialogues with the dreamers of tomorrow come from? How did your conscience glow and your sustained belief in the ability of young people to create and innovate despite the apparent lack of awareness in society about it!”
These are all questions that I did not think about formulating an answer to, until after the youth’s questions, and I found that writing this article might be appropriate to justify the motives and structure of our society as individuals and as a group, and each of us’s awareness of the reality of those who control our lives, politically and culturally, and those we read and listen to.
We must be aware that when the “idea” comes to light, it becomes a powerful force, and the conscious mind is capable of respecting the idea, even if it does not believe in it. Therefore, I devoted a few pages from my new book, “Memes and Memes,” to ideas, their development, how they are transmitted from one person to another, and from generation to generation, and to awareness and its importance.
“Mem” in English (mem); It is a term that means an idea, behavior, or method that spreads from one person to another within a culture, often with the aim of conveying a specific phenomenon, or the meaning represented in this idea.
A meme serves as a unit for carrying cultural ideas, symbols, or practices, which can be transmitted from one mind to another through writing, speech, gestures, rituals, or any other imitable phenomenon linked by a common image. The idea may be simple, or it may be complex. Memes are the cultural counterpart of genes, in that they replicate, mutate, evolve, and respond to selective pressures.
Professor Al-Akkad says that when we link ideas to people, we deprive ourselves of the good idea when it comes from an opponent, and we get involved in the ridiculous idea as long as it comes from a friend.
Our awareness of history says that the owner of a new idea may be considered a criminal within a strict cultural framework, until his idea succeeds and the idea has a thousand fathers.
We are now aware of what Ibn Rushd said: “Ideas have wings, and their spread cannot be curbed even if we burn the books that contain them, or kill the person who invented them.”
“Memes” and their relationship to “genes”, and linking the biological theory of evolution to the development of ideas, and linking that to the dissemination of the ideas we have and documenting them, so that they can live and reproduce, is the subject of the book “Memes and Memes”, in which I present ideas that the reader may accept or disagree with, but they are Worth the conversation.
In general, I found that I may not be convinced of an idea, but I do not dispute with the thinker, and I liked Galileo’s saying: “It is easy to understand any truth after discovering it, but the idea is in discovering it.” A person may die, and nations may rise or be undermined, but the idea continues. life; Ideas do not expire if they can confront the constants that the public is comfortable believing and become part of their collective consciousness.
We must understand that an idea has power when it seizes the conscience of the masses, or is imposed by some people repeatedly in the minds of the masses… and there have become sciences on how to do this in the modern era, and to create facts that have no proof, that may spread and do not have the qualities of validity.
The article and book are an invitation to society to use the best thing in us as human beings, and what the Creator distinguished us with from the rest of His creation, which is “the mind.” To spread our ideas, research the ideas of others, and accept differences among people.
I also focus, and I invite you to focus, on the importance of awareness of preserving the “memes” of values, which I discussed in my conversations with youth and families, and I received sharp blame from some of them for our responsibility, as an older generation, for losing many of the meanings of these values, due to the duality of the behavior of our generation and those who came before us with the heart and philosophy of these values. Which we sing about, and the hypocrisy of a society that is religious in form, and often fanatical, in contradiction with the values of religions that urge tolerance, love, affection, and forgiveness.
Everyone is concerned about the future of Egypt, and keen to weave human values into the consciences of our children and youth, in the family, school, and university. We all know the depth of the challenge, in addition to our fear of losing “humanization” in our pursuit of “digitization” in the shadow of the clouds surrounding many… Values in our society and the international community.
When I look at the world around me, what I fear is the manipulation of our consciousness and our thoughts. Now I see and realize that consciousness may become made up of those who possess the techniques to create what is not created or existing, and make it a reality in the conscience of peoples, and even terrorize anyone who doubts or thinks differently. It is the creation of a fabricated awareness, and with its stability and continued confirmation, the crowd begins to believe, and even after a time you find the willingness of peoples to sacrifice their well-being and even the lives of their individuals for the sake of a cause that was created and has come to represent a collective awareness.
The war between Russia and Ukraine and the position of the West tell us that Europe is no different here from the peoples of the third and developing world.
What happens between people and their awareness of what is happening around them, whether by believing political claims, draws a false awareness in the minds and determines who is a friend and who is an enemy, and we are aware that after two generations of creating an artificial collective awareness, many facts are lost and we live in a false awareness created by those who have the tools and those who draw scenarios and who He has the ability to control the media and social media.
It is the awareness of the puppets of the theater that is created by those who move the strings that tell the story of their presence on this stage.
The question is: Do you realize who you are and who I am? Are we puppets on the stage of life or are we the ones pulling the strings??
