Dr. Hossam Badrawi with groups of young Arab and international universities participating in the “Cairo International Forum for University Theater” visited the Egyptian Folklore Museum on Friday, October 28, before the start of the closing ceremony of the forum at the Academy of Arts Theater.
Dr. accompanied Hossam youth universities d. Mostafa Gad, Dean of the Institute of Folklore and President of the Museum.
The museum was built three years ago and includes representative images of all kinds of folklore, with wonderful statues, and impressive collections for each heritage.
This is a display of the marine environment with their boats and fishermen in their distinctive clothes
And another for the Bedouin environment, and a third for the municipal coffee with the formula of its pioneers, and another for the load ceremonies for the covering of the Holy Kaaba. It is also a representation of the journey of the Holy Family and the celebration of the Egyptians, Muslims and Christians, and the feast of the Virgin Mary.
I was fascinated by the representation of the Nubian environment, Ramadan celebrations, kunafa makers, and mesaharati with details of clothes and tools from northern to upper Egypt.
Standing in front of every representation of an environment that makes you live in it and feel the fragrance of its culture.
A great museum in which you learn that Egypt is the mother of the world with its multiplicity of heritage and the beauty of its people
Who creates a creative model in which you marvel at the multiplicity of folklore and the unity of the nation at the same time.
Look at the different pictures and environments, for here lies the beauty of pluralism, the diversity of clothing and customs and the greatness of the country’s unity at the same time.
Egypt is unparalleled guys, and I invite every family to visit this museum and salute Dr. Mostafa Gad for his effort to complete the museum’s techniques and introduce digital in display and work in acoustics that must be consistent with the exhibit and develop digital means that allow the visitor to know the origin and beauty of each heritage.
The Egyptian folklore, from the village to the nomads to the city, to the kind of popular celebrations from Nubia to the desert and oases, all of Egypt
